We're inviting you to take part in a study for adults who suffer from post-surgical nerve pain to evaluate the effect of an investigational patch on treating the symptoms associated with nerve pain after surgery. All study-related visits, tests, care, and study drug will be provided at no cost. In addition, compensation for study-related travel may be provided. Health insurance is not required to participate.
The study will be evaluating the efficacy of an investigational patch for post-surgical nerve pain.
Participants may be eligible to take part in the PSNP Studies if you:
- Are over 18 years old.
- Have had a surgery in the past 5 years.
- Experience a burning, freezing, or shocking pain (sometimes accompanied by numbness and/or pins and needles) in the area where you had surgery.
About Post-Surgical Nerve Pain
Post-surgical nerve pain, also known as postoperative nerve pain or post-surgical neuropathic pain, is a chronic condition caused by nerve damage during surgery that may last for years after surgery.
Healthy nerves communicate pain signals to the brain when the body is experiencing injury and stay silent when there is no injury. With post-surgical nerve pain, damaged nerves send abnormal pain signals to the brain.
